Click for more detail... 1738S	Rex Fifth Avenue Floral Treasure Compact This Compact is featured on page 22 of Laura M. Mueller's Book "Collector's Encyclopedia of Compacts - Carryalls & Face Powder Boxes. It is a goldtone, loose powder compact. It was known as the Floral Treasure design. It has an ivory colored case with a bas-relief flower basket and laurel wreath motif done in goldtone. It is not marked but identified through a 1947 magazine ad. The puff had the logo - it is now very faint, but you can still see it. Powder screen still in place. The Mirror is glued in and in fine condition (The picture shows a very dark mirror but I was getting my own camera reflection so it does not show true in the picture). Closure is in good working order. There is some age to the goldtone but it is in overall good condition considering it is from 1947. The Diameter of the Compact is 3 1/2". ENJOY!	Your Price: $75.00

It is designed in goldplated basemetal with the cover being black velvet with oriental gold embroidered Bamboo Trees. It is in excellent condition with the original powder still in the case having been used. It comes in its original pouch and was obviously carried in the pouch when used as evidenced by its condition. The goldplated cover to the powder section reads in script: Queen Star then it has the Trade Mark in a scrolled design of IMK followd by Patent. As yet I have not found anything on this mark or trade mark. But it could likely be one of the ships of the STAR lines wherein all ships named had STAR in the name. It would appear to be a souvenir compact from the shipping lines. Circa 1940s. The Compact measures 3" x 3" - square with rounded corners. ENJOY!	Your Price: $75.00

The mirror is good condition. The back of the compact shows some wear but not heavy wear. I would call it in good condition. In exceptionally fine condition -- this is a Compact for pressed powder. The refill is still in place and appears hardly used -- the color "Honey Beige". The Lipstick case still has lipstick in it but the label on the bottom is completely worn off. Interior is in great condition, although the powder puff shows some heavy use. Click for more detail... 1173S	Goldtone Compact by DORSET Fifth Avenue DORSET FIFTH AVENUE - This is a Goldtone, loose powder compact. This Compact measures 1 3/8" Square x 1/4"D. It is the same basic design as the Dorset compact on page 47 of "Collector's Encyclopedia of Compacts Carryalls & Face Powder Boxes by LAURA M. Mueller, Volume II. The Design on this Compact is an enameled 5 point star enameled in red, blue, yellow, green and white. Each point has a symbol and they appear to be a sword, horsehead, bird in flight, (don't know) and a martini glass. I cannot determine the center symbol either. The inside mirror is broken with 3 cracks but all there. The puff is missing and yet there is still some powder in the case. The golden cover of the loose powder is signed in script DORSET and Fifth Avenue. There is a logo of a victorian man and woman. The overall condition is good, some wear to the outside.
