| THIS IS A GORGEOUS PAIR OF Hobé MULTI-COLOR RHINESTONE SCREWBACK EARRINGS - 1950s. These Earrings are designed in a dome of silverplated metal. The outer rim is granulated and between the granulation are clear round chatons. The 2nd circle of stones are foiled back prong set oval rhinestones in colors of peridot, ruby, rose, amethyst & citrine. The center is a granulated bezel set with an oval sapphire blue rhinestone. Each Earring is signed and the screwback is a comfort style with springback. The Earrings are in very good condition, no missing or chipped stones. The HOBÉ name belongs to a family of jewelers beginning in 1848. William Hobé created fine jewelry - began an association with Florenz Ziegfeld to produce jewelry to go with the follies costumes and so began the Hobé firm to manufacture "costume jewelry". The creations are unique and executed in silver or gold plated metal. Highly collectible! ENJOY! |
