| Fabulous is all I can say about this Parure/Suite!! This comes in its original box. The story from the Original Owner is that it was won, as part of a prize package, on the gameshow The Price Is Right in 1962. The set is in mint condition. The Suite consists of a Bib Necklace, Bracelet & Matching Earrings. The Bib and Bracelet are designed with 3 separate ropes of 8 strands each of bead size simulated pearls - the clasp on the bracelet and bib is a combination of simulated pearls and rhinestones set in rhodium. The Earrings are a combination of the Clasp. You cannot believe the beauty of this Set until you see it "Live". The bib measures 16"Long x 2 1/4"Wide including the clasp in the length. The clasp measures 1 1/2"W x 1 7/8"L. The Bracelet measures 9"L including the clasp. The clasp itself measures 1 1/2"W x 2"L. The Earrings are rhodium clipbacks and measure 1 1/8"L x 7/8"W. This Set will only appreciate in value. A prize addition to any collection and a fabulous set to wear! All pieces are signed. LAY-AWAY Available. ENJOY! MARVELLA: Marvella is the trademark initially used by Weinrich Bros. Co., founded approximately 1911 in Philadelphia. In 1943 they were also listed in NYC. Marvella Pearls, Inc., was the name adopted about 1950 and changed to Marvella, Inc. in 1965. The post WWII jewelry conisted primarily of simulated pearls -- their simulated pearl jewelry as well as other types of jewelry combining beads or pearls are set on quality backings. Multi-strand Marvella simulated pearls typically sell for 200-400 dollars at jewelry shows. They are no longer in business. |
